PODCAST: MESURING THE PROGRESS OF THE HBCU SWINGMAN CLASSIC FT. DAVID JUSTICE, DUSTY BAKER AND TONY REAGINS

2025 marked the third year of the HBCU Swingman Classic. Swingman is the brain-child of MLB legend Ken Griffey Jr and features the best college players in the country who play for HBCUs. With the event being in its third year and, more importantly, being in Atlanta, home of several HBCUs, this year was a great time to gauge the progress of the experiment.

On this very short podcast episode, I interviewed swingman manager, 2X World Series Champion David Justice, 2X All-Star, 2X World Series Champion, 3X Manager of the Year Dusty Baker, and MLB’s Chief Development Office Tony Reagins.

These interviews were recorded live (on the field) right before the game.
