I’m excited and honored to share BBM’s conversation with Austin Wates – Associate Head Coach for Kansas State University. Coach Wates is a thoughtful and inspirational leader. An exceptional baseball mind who played the game at a very high level.
While fairly new in his coaching journey (6 years), he has helped turn KSU’s baseball team into one of the top 25 programs in the country. He’s been named as a top 100 assistant coach by D1 baseball. He will certainly be a D1 Head Coach one day.
BBM is placing a specific focus on covering underrepresented aspects of college baseball in 2024. Along with last year’s fun-loving and uplifting Black baseball coverage, in 2024, we’re adding even more to the coverage of the game we love.
