BLACK KIDS PLAY BASEBALL #14 “WHO AM I? HALL OF FAME EDITION”

We at the Black Baseball Mixtape extend a heartfelt congratulations to CC Sabathia on his induction to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Sabathia is only the third Black pitcher voted in the hall of fame by the BBWAA on the first ballot. His career and statistics speak for themselves: 251 wins, 3,093 Ks, Cy Young Award, and World Series Champ. But more importantly, CC pitched big in the biggest moments. The ultimate competitor, who never loss his connection to his roots, family and community. We salute the kid from Vallejo who has now achieved baseball’s biggest honor.
